Steering Committee Meeting of the BURN Project (September 5, 2025)

On September 5, the Steering Committee Meeting of the BURN Project gathered European and Ukrainian partners to review progress, exchange experiences, and shape the next steps of collaboration.


The meeting began with a 1.5-year monitoring report presented by Iryna Zadorozhna, the project manager. This assessment allowed partners to reflect on achievements, identify challenges, and outline areas for improvement. It also provided a platform for focused discussions on:
- Strengthening dissemination strategies (Dr. Kateryna Bondar, KSPU)
- Ensuring quality control during the main phase of the project (M. Shkuropat, HIFL)
A detailed review of Work Packages (WPs) followed:
WP1 – Procurement of equipment and budget distribution (Yuliia Kostiuk, TNPU)
WP2 – Launch and piloting of courses (Iryna Zadorozhna, TNPU)
WP3 – Establishment of Centres and publication of Statutes (O. Golovko, Tartu University)
WP4 – Development of training programmes (L. Kulhinke, IPU Berlin)
WP5 – Design of workshops for Centres (Dr. Kateryna Bondar, KSPU)
WP6 – Quality assurance and analysis (T. Borozentseva, HIFL)
The Steering Committee underlined the importance of transparent communication, efficient resource management, and strong cross-border cooperation to ensure that the BURN Project continues to deliver meaningful impact in higher education.
This meeting not only highlighted milestones achieved so far but also reinforced the shared commitment of all partners to innovation, inclusiveness, and sustainable development.
